When a strange creature the size of a battleship appears over American airspace, no one wants to believe the testimony of scientist Mitch MacAfee. Then the creature, a gigantic ugly bird of prey from space, attacks civilization. It drags away trains and eats teenagers. Conventional weapons bounce off the monster’s energy shield. As if that weren’t enough, the beast has already built a nest and is incubating more monsters. Can humanity still be saved or will it end up as bird food for a flock of flying monsters?
